Every week FRIDAY SEMINARS are held by project leaders of the SFB 635 as well as other group leaders in Cologne with related research interests to report on recent developments within the projects. These seminars are popular as they do not only promote the exchange of scientific results between individual projects, but also allow in particular young students to get informed about the ongoing research within the SFB 635. Snacks are served after the seminars to promote informal discussions.

The seminars by project leaders of the SFB 635 alternate with seminars of the Excellence Cluster CECAD (since 2009); the SFB 635 cooperates also with the International Graduate School in Development Health and Disease (IGSDHD), and therefore facilitate the scientific exchange to other research groups and in particular young scientists.
